Knightcastle

In November 1983, waiting for a friend in a pub in Montreal, I was able to talk a few minutes with an old idol of mine, David Bowie. In July 2005 in Thunder Bay, my meeting with 'Bowie' (Dutch/American/Canadian CH Serilde Velenocelestiale) turned out to be significant in that all the dogs of this first litter have a name from a song by David Bowie.

On November 16 2006, eight puppies were born, 5 males and 3 females, all in good health. It was the begenning of a great adventure!

Baxter. He doesn't need any presentation. He was the white collar boy in that litter. He is the first Knightcastle 'all round retriever' in Canada and USA, having his Championship, obedience and hunt test titles in both countries.

Bode. I couldn't have found a better home for my first little 'American boy' ! Bode is living near Boston in a very active home with two wonderful kids. I'm sure that Bode has become their 'best friend'.

Céleste. She is Knightcastle! Probably the best dog I ever had.

Charbon. He was living near Québec City in a very active family. He was a very sweet boy and like his mother Nova, was coming to you talking and making 'Ooooh', like a real flatcoat. He wore the marine collar. Charbon left us in January 2012.

Jules. Louise and Richard were the first to believe in the Knightcastle's big adventure between Nova and the wonderful Bowie. They were so enthusiastic, they could not wait and rescued Emma who became a mentor to little Jules. Thank you both of you !

Raven. Miss Raven was the 'red collar girl' from that litter. I named her at first 'Twiggie' since she was the smallest of the gang. She is full of energy and is living with my friend Brenda and with another flatcoat, Skye.

Salsa. At one month old, little Salsa could sit down for a few minutes to observe her surroundings. She was my future 'CDX' !! On June 2, 2007, Salsa became the third dog from that litter to obtain their CD. Since September 2010, Salsa is sharing her life with her nephew Chevy (Knightcastle Cornelius C Chase).

Zorro. He is the first dog for that really nice family from Laval. He is Baxter's twin brother. Zorro passed easily the obedience basic 1 and 2 classes and also earned his Canine Good Neighbor certification from the CKC. Nice work Julie !
