The 'David Bowie' litter

In November 1983, waiting for a friend in a pub in Montréal, I was able to talk a few minutes with an old idol of mine, David Bowie. In July 2005 in Thunder Bay, my meeting with 'Bowie' (Dutch/American/Canadian CH Serilde Velenocelestiale) turned out to be significant in that all the dogs of this first litter have a name from a song by David Bowie.

'Great European Castles' litter

Thor is a direct descendant of the best British lines, particularly with his great grand-mother Maddy (Waverton Medeira), who gave to the breed the 2003 Top stud dog in England, Waverton Toby Ale, a liver dog. Thor completed his Canadian Championship in two week-ends in April 2007 and his American one in 4 trials on June 23 2007. Eight puppies were born on July 9, all healthy (5 males and 3 females).

The 'Milky Way' litter

This was Nova's third litter. For me it was like a new begining because Pen (American CH Shannara's Penderrin) is Bowie's son (Nova's first mate). Pen won Best of opposite sex at the 2007 american FCRSA specialty sweepstakes. He also has that 'scandinavian' flatcoat look.

The 'King Arthur' litter

For her first breeding, Céleste has been bred with a wonderful dog from Netherlands but living in Iowa, Exel (Dutch/American CH Swallowsflight Excalibur's Enigma TDI CGC). Exel was simply the best dog for her. On September 12 2008, 8 puppies (four boys and four girls) were born, all in good health.

The 'Beers of the World' litter

For me it was like a new begining using Pen (American CH Shannara's Penderrin) again. Baby Freyja was born in Andy's car while driving to the vetenarian.

The 'Great Movie Stars' litter

I met Roman for the first time in 2007 at the FCRSC specialty in Québec City and I fell in love with him. He is ranked in the Top 5 in Canada and USA and was invited to the Westminster show in 2009 and 2010. Like my Baxter, he made the cut at the US Specialty in 2009. He is a fantastic working and hunting dog.

The 'Cartoon Characters' litter

Back in 2005 when I was looking for a male for Nova's first breeding, one day I called Barry Harrison to ask him about a possible breeding between Nova and Spice. What I did not know at the time was that Spice was ... a girl!. Breeding Nova again was not in my plans but when she came in season at the same time that Céleste, I could not resist! Nova was in perfect shape and a very active. Again, two UD flatcoats together.
